I visit here most days as it is simply one of the best places in Hong Kong to learn about Hong Kong culture.
It really is amazing.

The Che Kung Temple is rather iconic to many Hong Kong residents particularly at Chinese New Year and I rather like it as well but it is such a shame that it is a pain in the backside to visit given it is far away from town - oh well.

What a gorgeous car and I am always thrilled to see cars like this, this is indeed a rare sight but for the life of me I cannot understand why people spend a small fortune on a car like this and have such a boring colour and no add ons - I always appreciate understated but on a car like this it screams out for an in your face colour, racing stripes and a bloody big spoiler on the back.
Personal opinion of course.

Pigs
I love taking people to the Mong Kok Street Market as it really takes people out of their comfort zone and into the harsh reality of daily life in Hong Kong.
Seeing pigs on a trolley is a fairly common sight and you also need to know that our subway system the MTR puts up signs in quite a few stations prohibiting pigs on the train (seriously).
Make sure you bring your camera.

Mei Ho House Public Housing Exhibit
Looking for something a little different? then ask me to take you to the Mei Ho Public Housing Exhibit in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.
It certainly gives you an insight into Public Housing in Hong Kong (almost half of our population lives in Public Housing) but as usual my gripe is that they have sanitized the exhibit, it certainly does not look spotless like in the image! - I prefer reality... however it is certainly worth your time.

I know it is a cliche but Hong Kong looks quite different at night and I am a big fan of heading out after dark.

This car is quite famous in Hong Kong and I have now photographed in a showroom, on the road and now at a car show!
As much as I like the Bugatti I think the Pagani Zonda is just the most awesome hypercar in the world, it is has staggering performance and it's looks defy comprehension and frankly it must be one of the 7 wonders of the world to actually drive one!!

Hollywood Road
I like this sign and quite a famous road sign it is - Hollywood Road is famous for all sorts of things, roughly a 15 - 20 minute walk from one end to the other but what an interesting walk and I heartily recommend it to everyone.
There are bars, restaurants, old Police Stations, the PMQ, ancient banyan trees, antique shops, temples and shops that make and sell coffins.

Emergency Services Hong Kong
I have great respect for our Emergency Services in Hong Kong (particularly the Ambulance Service) and it is a blessing that our Fire Services Department do not have much work to do despite the many tens of thousands of high rise buildings.
When they are called upon, heroic is an appropriate word to use.
..... and our Government always make sure they have the very best equipment.
